Christiaan, a Partner with Felix Advisory, Netherlands, has more than 13 years of post-qualification experience. He heads the tax practice in the Netherlands as well as manages client relation for Felix Advisory in Europe. An expert on tax related matters, Christiaan coauthored the Dutch tax encyclopedia NDFR in relation to the Dutch bank tax law and article 28b of the Dutch Corporate Income Tax Act.
His areas of core expertise include Dutch and international taxation, tax structuring, tax due diligence, and tax risk management. He also has good experience in dealing with Indian tax and Indian outbound structuring issues and has worked with many India-based clients including various (partially) listed Indian conglomerates active in sectors like renewable energy, steel, oil/gas, forging, infrastructure, information technology services, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, and consumer products. He also provides expert services in negotiating tax rulings with the Dutch tax authorities. He also spearheads fulfilling (tax) compliance needs for holding and finance companies for Europe bound clients.
Christiaan is a member of the Netherlands Association of Tax Advisors, the association of university educated tax advisers in the Netherlands. After completing his Masters in Taxation at university, he worked as a tax adviser to multinationals at De Brauw (a major Dutch law firm), and subsequently joined Ernst & Young, working there for more than 9 years.
