On 19th October, Felix Advisory organized the event Blockchain- An Introduction in association with the Government Blockchain Association. This event introduced the prospects of Blockchain Technology in different businesses.
The keynote speakers were Vartul Mittal, Technology & Innovation Specialist; Debajani Mohanty, Blockchain Author; Shailesh Churiwala, ICAI – DAAB Blockchain Experts Panel; Amit Jindal, Co-Founder, Felix Advisory, President – NCR GBA and Adamya Sharma, Partner, Felix Advisory, Member – GBA NCR. The speakers spoke about different aspects of blockchain technology, including the current landscape and future prospects.
During the day, conference participants had the opportunity to choose among various sessions to discuss topics and develop recommendations. Each session lasted for 30-45 mins. At the beginning of each session, participants were presented with background information and discussion questions. Every session was followed by brainstorming and information exchange, participants in the sessions reached consensus on two recommendations and discussed related barriers and solutions.
Amit Jindal, Co-Founder, Felix Advisory, President – NCR GBA, commenced the event giving a brief introduction of the blockchain technology including its history, basic functionality, common uses, salient features, benefits, variants and its impacts.
Adamya Sharma, Partner, Felix Advisory, Member – GBA NCR, elaborated on the adoption and prospects of the technology with case studies and opportunities. He highlighted that currently banking and finance is the top sector using the technology, followed by government and public goods. He further highlighted how leading brands are adopting the blockchain technology at different capacities for a range of purposes and suggested a range of sectors that can benefit the most from it.
Debajani Mohanty, a renowned international bestseller blockchain author, shared her experiences with blockchain technology and the future’s banking scenario can change drastically with proper adoption of the technology on the sector.
Shailesh Churiwala, ICAI – DAAB Blockchain Experts Panel, provided insights about the white paper created by Santoshi Nakamoto, talked about the requirement to change the approach toward blockchain implementation and shared his experience around key aspects to be considered for successful implementation.
Debajani Mohanty, Blockchain Author, explained the concept of Ripple, helped the audience to understand the advantage which ripple can bring to banking, shared her international experience about technology implemented in banks and quoted that “Ripple and Stable coin are the future for banking, however, it needs regulatory involvement to ensure adaptability.
Vartul Mittal, Technology & Innovation Specialist, helped the audience in understanding life cycle of RPA implementation, explained the advantage of blockchain in RPA, while emphasizing that both the concepts are interlinked and complementary to each other and shared his rich industry experience about the successful implementation of RPA.
